Welcome to Wildwood Kennels of Tok Alaska, home of champions. We produce a high quality Chesapeake with exceptional conformation. Our handsome Chesapeakes are suburb hunting and family dogs, with many of them capable in field trials and as hunt test competitors . They can also excel at obedience and agility. Chesapeakes are some of the most intelligent of all dogs and are very devoted to those who own them. Most staunch Chesapeake owners can relate stories of their uncanny memory and marking abilities.
They make wonderful attentive companions. We are dedicated to keeping the Chesapeake Bay Dog true to his original purpose of hunting in tough conditions and cold waters. Our Chesapeakes are hardy dogs with a good protective coat and lots of drive . Their love of birds and water is inherit with puppies retrieving birds as early as 6 weeks old. We breed only from dogs whose bloodlines have proven to excel as good hunters and Field Trial competitors. Our bitches are of special importance and must be as exceptional in their field ability and conformation as are the sires we have or choose for our litters. Good temperament and trainability are always considered. Our dogs are AKC registered,certified OFA or Penn- hip to be free of DHD and Have CERF- OptiGen for eyes. Contract required.
